Before: what Dana typed
Riverbend Youth Garden, year-end appeal, mail + email. Numbers 2025: 312 kids in garden club, 2,400 lb produce, 40 families get a weekly box. Story: Maya (10) brought home the first tomato her little brother ever ate raw; her mom cried at pickup. We need $18,000 by Dec 31 for the 2026 summer camp (6 weeks, 60 kids). $50 = one kid's seeds and tools for a season, $150 = a family's boxes for a month, $600 = one camp place. Signed by Dana Ortiz, director. Avoid: nothing about the school board fight.
After: the print letter
Dear Friend, In June, a ten-year-old named Maya walked out of the Riverbend garden with the first tomato her little brother had ever eaten raw. Her mother cried at pickup. That tomato is what your gift does. This year 312 children grew food in our after-school garden club. Together they harvested 2,400 pounds of it, and every week 40 families took a box of it home. None of that happens without the summer camp, where the garden is planted in the first place, and we have to raise $18,000 by December 31 to run it for 60 children next June. Here is what a gift does. $50 gives one child seeds and tools for a season. $150 fills a family's boxes for a month. $600 holds one place at camp. Will you give before the year ends? Give at riverbendgarden.org/give, or with the enclosed card. With thanks for a year of tomatoes, Dana Ortiz, Director

FAQ
Three questions people ask.
Is it written from our real numbers?
Only from them. Every figure in the letter is one you typed into the form, with its year. If a number is missing we leave the sentence out rather than guess, and we say so in the email.
What exactly arrives?
A print letter (one page, your letterhead space at the top, a P.S. and a reply-card line), an email version of the same appeal (shorter, with a subject line and a one-line preview), and a 60-word social post. Word and PDF, within 1 day of payment. One free round of changes.
Can you write the whole campaign?
Not here. This is one appeal letter and its email. For a one-page donor summary or an impact report, see the home page; for a second letter (a follow-up or a lapsed-donor version), order again with a note.
